Shell was once again well represented at the 11th ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference) held during October. ADIPEC has evolved over the last few years to become a major gathering venue for the oil and gas industry, and is now internationally recognised. In addition to the event's exhibition, an extensive conference programme focused over the three days of ADIPEC on the theme 'Managing Resources and Opportunities for the Maturing Oil and Gas Industry'.

Organisers of the Emirates Businesswomen Award - Dubai Quality Group and Shell - have launched an intensive marketing campaign to encourage women in all fields of the UAE's business and professional sectors to participate in the 2005 Award. Supported by a special task force, the campaign aims to deliver the message through a wide spectrum of activities over the next few months to encourage applications from women, who over the years have made their mark either as businesswomen or as professionals.
