Shell Aviation had a strong presence at the Dubai Airshow, Dubai 2005, in November, which was opened by H. H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister. Shell had an impressive stand featuring the ever-popular Ferrari Formula One racing car, and took a hospitality chalet in which to entertain customers, stakeholders and Shell staff. Shell Aviation also played a major role in the refuelling of many of the aircraft participating in the show, most importantly, the refuelling of the Emirates' Airbus A380, which made its debut on the day.
