Winners of Emirates Businesswomen's Award 2004 honoured at award ceremony

Maha Jalal Al Noubani, a Jordanian and Vice President of Al Jalal Electrical Trading Establishment, Sharjah, and Dr Dorothy Fernandes, an Indian who works as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist for Prime Medical Centre and is a visiting consultant at the American, Welcare, Iranian and Belhoul International hospitals in Dubai, were selected as the winners following a rigorous assessment process by the judging panel. More than 6,500 tonnes of asphalt laid in a day

In celebration of a record, from left: Melwyn D'Cunha, Sales Manager UAE, Shell Industrial Lubricants & Bitumen, Abdi Kamalati, Shell's Bitumen Business Manager for the Middle East, J Vikraman, Al Naboodah Contracting's Site Foreman, and Ashwone Bhat, Al Naboodah Project ManagerThe civil engineering team of Al Naboodah Contracting, working on Dubai International Airport's new extension, recently celebrated a company record that may well turn out to be a world record. In a single day, 6,518 tonnes of asphalt was produced by the company's three asphalt plants and laid over an area of 32,500 square metres - the equivalent of 4.5 kilometres of standard road way.
